Second Attempt IXNAYED!

Let's meet for Barb's club on August 17th, the next scheduled date, and save Jeanne's book for our September meeting. As we get closer to the date Barb will let us know where and what time. Is this ok with everyone?

Here's Jeanne's pick:

In The Master Butcher's Singing Club, Fidelis Waldvogel returns to Germany from the horrors of World War I and marries his late friend's pregnant fiancée. He emigrates to America with her and his stepson and settles in Argus, N.D.
Louise Erdrich (author) receives high praise for yet another novel. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says of The Master Butcher's Singing Club, "Erdrich never hits a false note. The richness of tone and clarity of each character's timbre never falter. This is a bittersweet joy from beginning to end."
